The clock is ticking towards the end of the season and Liverpool could find themselves named champions without playing another minute of football. In a little over 24 hours an Arsenal defeat would see the Reds secure their position at the top of the table.
Arne Slot bringing the Premier League title to Anfield in his first season in charge of the club is all but inevitable, and is set to mark the side's first success in the division in five years. Even the squad appear ready to accept they may need some celebration plans.
But there will be plenty to keep the Dutch boss busy as preparations for next term are seemingly already underway. Decisions will be required on the current squad and new players are expected to arrive at Anfield in the summer as Slot starts putting his fingerprints on the squad he inherited from Jurgen Klopp.
Mirror Football takes a look at the latest news and rumours surrounding Liverpool.

The Dutchman is planning to have a job to do against Tottenham. He said: “I don't know. Could be. To be honest. I expect Arsenal to win at home but yeah, if it doesn't happen then I think it would be nice to be together.
“So however that may look, we will discuss in the next couple of days. But if Arsenal just win that game, what they probably expect they will do against a very good Crystal Palace, then we have to do our job at the weekend.”

Kerkez hint
After liking an Instagram post confirming the contract extensions of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk earlier this month, Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez has prompted more speculation over a transfer to Liverpool. The Cherries ace has interacted with more Liverpool content after his international team-mate Dominik Szoboszlai shared a post celebrating the Reds' win over Leicester.
Kerkez commented on thee post with an hour-glass emoji and a red heart. While it is probably an indication of Liverpool's impending title win, there's certainly a possibility it could be interpreted by some as a transfer hint.

Luis Diaz comments on future
Luis Diaz is close to realising his dream with Liverpool on the verge of winning the Premier League. The Colombia international wants to leave his mark on the club before the end of his career and hopes success this season will go on to achieve that.
"It’s a source of pride to see the fans of Liverpool, one of England’s great clubs, sing for you like that, support you like that," Diaz told TNT Sports Mexico. "It is what I’ve always worked for.
"That’s what I want for my career: to always be remembered for my game; to leave my mark on Liverpool. We’ll keep working this way so they feel comfortable and keep singing and cheering on the team, which is the most important thing.
"I have many memories from when I was a kid. Because I always dreamed of winning a title with Liverpool and especially the Premier League, and it’s close."
